ONEWOOL Gallery launch at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour

The Campaign for Wool is proud to announce the launch of ONEWOOL.com, a new online gallery showcasing the largest collection of wool interior products. To celebrate the launch Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour has immersed itself in Wool Week  and commissioned its own witty take on a modern art gallery, showcasing a select number of pieces from the collection for the public to touch and enjoy.
With a nod to famous artists such as Miro, Rothko, Klee, Fontana, Emin and Mondrian, the original ‘Onewool Gallery’ is dedicated to show directional wool fabrics and carpets from some of the most important names in the industry. Specially devised to be eye-catching, contemporary and fun, everything you can see highlights what is happening in the world of wool within interiors right now.
Last night, The Campaign for Wool attended the launch of an exhibition at Chelsea Harbour, and what a splendid night it was.

This exhibition, open for the duration of Wool Week, is the place to track down natural, sustainable and beautiful wool products from a portfolio of leading design houses and brands based at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. You can also view the whole collection online at http://www.onewool.com/.

Curated by designer Karina Garrick, the gallery is an eclectic mix. New and now fabrics, rugs, carpets and even lampshades are represented as abstract paintings or single pieces of artwork. Some are displayed in bands of block colour or as collections of different narratives; every one shows the quality and versatility of wool! Soft textures and bright tones throughout are reflective of how wool offers incredible choice, not necessarily in a traditional way. The much-loved Design Centre sheep is back represented this time as a budding artist while sketches showing art gallery guards bring more humour and pace.

The ONEWOOL design trail has been devised to show visitors where to find wool products in participating showrooms. From woollen fabrics to rugs and carpets, there is a vast array to choose from – everything from the contemporary classic to the cutting-edge cool.
